Spirit of Speyside stands as one of the region’s most iconic festivals, celebrating the people and craft behind every distillery and inviting whisky enthusiasts from around the world to explore Speyside like never before.

This year we’re thrilled to welcome you into the home of the World’s Best Single Malt 2025 with an exciting programme of events, experiences and exclusive releases designed to surprise and delight. Whether you’re joining us for an intimate warehouse tasting, a blending masterclass or a cosy dram by the peat fire, we’ve created a memorable schedule that brings you closer to the heart of The GlenAllachie.

VISITING THE GLENALLACHIE

We’ll be hosting a series of exclusive events here at The GlenAllachie Distillery, welcoming you into the very place where our whiskies are lovingly crafted. Our programme includes the intimate Warehouse Sixteen Tasting, the exploratory Around the World in Six Drams, The GlenAllachie Immersion, in-depth Art of Blending Masterclass, and the wonderfully cosy Drams and a Peat Fire experience. Each has been designed to offer you a truly unique and memorable way to discover our whiskies and the craftsmanship behind them.

Warehouse Sixteen Tasting

In the quiet corner of Warehouse 16 at The GlenAllachie Distillery, we present a small sellection of some really interesting and diverse casks that perfectly encapsulates the art of maturation that GlenAllachie is celebrated for. Here, we invite you to experience whisky drawn straight from the cask and explore the evolution of liquid from new make spirit into something truly exceptional over time. This guided tasting concludes with samples of our two hand-fill distillery exclusives, along with The GlenAllachie Single Cask, bottled exclusively for the Spirit of Speyside Festival.

Throughout his remarkable career, Billy Walker has collaborated with bodegas and cooperages from all corners of the world. His pioneering use of casks has become his signature, and at The GlenAllachie, this spirit of experimentation continues to push the boundaries of flavour and exploration. In this tasting, we will guide you through six exceptional expressions, each matured in some of our most unusual and characterful casks. Discover the stories behind the wood and embark on a journey of flavours from around the world, all in one captivating tasting.

Celebrate the craft of legendary Master Distiller, Billy Walker, with a unique and immersive blending experience. After delving into the making of The GlenAllachie spirit, you will be given the opportunity to take on the role of Master Blender. Under Billy’s guidance, you will nose and taste your way through a thoughtfully curated selection of our most exclusive and distinctive whiskies, combining your favourite aromas and flavours to create a blend of your own. At the end of the experience, you’ll take home a personally crafted 70cl bottle of your own blended whisky, complete with a record of your bespoke recipe.

The GlenAllachie Immersion – from grain to glass

Immerse yourself in an exclusive, intimate experience that reveals what makes The GlenAllachie truly special. Your day begins with a visit to the malting plant that supplies our barley - a facility rarely open to guests – before returning to the distillery to explore the full production process. Guided by our Warehouse Manager, Lindsay Cormie, you will tour selected warehouses and enjoy a dram or two straight from the cask. Later, join our Master Distiller, Billy Walker, alongside Assistant Blender Ronan Currie, for an immersive blending experience, exploring the art and science behind the whisky-making at The GlenAllachie Distillery.
