I am the Distillery Manager, and I help ensure all production and quality targets are met. I joined The GlenAllachie Distillery in the Spring of 2024. I have been in the spirits industry since 1973 and retired for two years for good behaviour! Previous distilleries that I have looked after include Plymouth Gin, Laphroaig and Glendronach.

Brand Home Manager

I joined the GA journey in February 2019 as the European Sales Manager. In February 2024, it was time to put the suitcase down and start a new role as Brand Home Manager, looking after the ever-expanding Visitor Centre and its hard-working team.

Favourite Dram:

I love sitting down with a bold, complex and intense dram at the end of the week and the GlenAllachie 10year-old Cask Strength offers all the above. With a drop of water, the underlying freshness comes to the fore complementing an abundance of zesty orange, dates and dark chocolate flavours.

I have worked at The GlenAllachie Distillery for the past two and a half years.

Having worked in Banking for 40 years and having made many friends both colleagues and customers I do think that the large “Whisky Family” that I now feel part of has given me a whole new enthusiasm for whisky not only from Speyside but also across the whole world. The joy of sitting drinking a whisky that you had never tried before is such a special experience and the many new friendships that have been made make it even more special.

I have worked at The GlenAllachie Distillery for six years now; I am the Warehouse Manager, and my favourite part of working with the company is the friendly and relaxed atmosphere and learning new things daily.

My favourite dram is Meikle Tòir The Original.

Ronan Currie

Assistant Blender

I have been with The GlenAllachie since 2019, having previously worked for Springbank and Glengyle Distilleries in Campbeltown. I am the Assistant Blender and Sales Director.

Favourite Dram:

I particularly enjoy our Virgin Oak Series, especially the Chinquapin and Scottish Oak releases; however, my favourite core range bottling would have to be the 15-year-old.

Karen Burgess

Lead Tour Guide

I started at The GlenAllachie in 2021, but I have worked with Billy Walker since he acquired Glenglassaugh in 2013, over 10 years ago. I am the Lead Tour Guide, running the tour experiences at the Visitor Centre here at The GlenAllachie Distillery.

My favourite dram is the GlenAllachie 12-year-old; it's so soft, smooth and sweet.

I have been at The Glenallachie since the 1st of April 2023. I help with tastings and take tours around our distillery.

Favourite Dram:

I love The GlenAllachie 18-year-old. It has a lovely colour and is bursting with rich flavours.

My favourite dram is the 15-year-old; It has a lovely aroma and taste of a clootie dumpling....with alcohol.

I’ve been working at The GlenAllachie Distillery since the 16th of June, 2022. My role involves guiding tours and tastings around our fantastic Visitor Centre.

My favourite dram is the White Heather 15-year-old.

I joined GlenAllachie in 2020 and was based at the distillery before joining the Sales Team in July 2022, where I currently look after markets across North America & Asia.

I am a huge fan of any releases we have done using Sauternes Wine Casks, but my go-to dram would have to be the GlenAllachie 12-year-old.

International Sales Manager

I’ve worked in Scotch Whisky for over 8 years and joined the GA team in 2023 as one of the international sales managers. I’m currently responsible for some of our markets across the APAC region,  Germany, Japan, the Middle East, and South America.

Favourite Dram:

My favourite dram is the GlenAllachie 10-year-old. I love punchy cask strength whisky and the sherry/red wine/virgin oak is perfectly balanced.

European Sales Manager

I have been The GlenAllachie’s European Sales Manager since 2024. I joined the team in February 2024 and am responsible for managing distribution and activation in fabulous Europe. You will find me behind a festival counter or at your local shop with a bottle of GA in my hands!

Favourite Dram:

My favourite dram is Meikle Tòir The Chinquapin One. I have had many smoky whiskies, but the combination of caramel sweetness, balsamic notes, and rich smoke in this bottle always surprises me. It's a great combination of flavours for a nightcap!

Blair Sterrick

UK Sales Manager

I started my hospitality career managing bars before transitioning into sales in 2008. In February 2025, I joined GlenAllachie as the UK Sales Manager. Over my 17-year sales career, I have held various roles at Diageo, Halewood Wines and Spirits, Dunns Food and Drinks, Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers, and most recently, Isle of Harris Distillers.

Favourite Dram:

I enjoy sherry-matured whiskies, particularly Oloroso, but my favorite GlenAllachie is a 12-year-old Sauternes Wine Cask Finish, exclusive to the UK, which I tasted during my first week at the distillery.
