Master Distiller Billy Walker’s Northeastern USA Tour
Master Distiller Billy Walker and International Sales Manager Andrew Mustard recently travelled across the Northeastern USA, joining forces with our US importer, ImpEx Beverages, for a series of tasting events across New England and New York.
The tour brought Billy’s five decades of whisky-making experience directly to consumers, with a series of sold-out tastings, seminars and Q&As showcasing expressions from across The GlenAllachie Distillers portfolio, including The GlenAllachie, Meikle Tòir, MacNair’s Boutique House of Spirits and White Heather.

New England | 31 August – 2 September
The tour began in New England, with the first stop at Burlington Wine & Spirits for a seminar and guided tasting hosted by Billy. Guests had the opportunity to explore a selection of expressions across the portfolio, while hearing directly from Billy about the craft, character and cask management behind each.
Billy hosted a meet & greet and tasting at Norfolk Wines & Spirit for a large number of GlenAllachie fans before heading to The Haven for an evening of whisky and conversation. The night featured a Q&A, guided tasting and the chance for guests to have their bottles personally signed by Billy.
Next up was Julio’s Liquors in Westborough, where Billy joined the Whisk(e)y Wednesday Podcast for a live tasting. The episode was also broadcast live at Four Seasons Wine, allowing customers to follow the discussion while enjoying the whiskies.

New York | 3 September – 5 September
The tour then continued into New York, with Billy and Andrew hosting a series of masterclasses, tastings and bottle signings across the city.
The first stop was Travel Bar, where Billy hosted an intimate masterclass, sharing stories and insight from his five decades in the Scotch whisky industry while guiding guests through a selection of whiskies. The following evening, the team headed to Astor Wines & Spirits for a tasting and bottle signing, giving guests the opportunity to meet Billy, explore the portfolio and hear more about the approach behind the whiskies.

The team then visited 1936 Wine and Spirits for another evening of tasting and bottle signing, before rounding off the New York leg of the tour with an exclusive masterclass for members of the Drammers Club NY.
Across six days and two states, the tour offered guests the opportunity to taste a selection of whiskies from across The GlenAllachie Distillers portfolio, while hearing directly from Billy about his approach to whisky-making, cask management and maturation.
A massive thank you to everyone who joined us along the way, and to our US Importers, ImpEx Beverages, for their continued support. We’d also like to thank our local distributors in Massachusetts, Burke Distributing Corporation LLC & Skurnik Wines & Spirits.
