The GlenAllachie 2025 Round Up
As 2025 is coming to an end, we want to take a moment to reflect on all our achievements from the year. From eagerly awaited product launches, new sustainability initiatives, to winning recognised accolades across The GlenAllachie range, it’s been a year full of milestones and successes.
A Year of Distinction
The GlenAllachie has received a range of prestigious awards this year, most notably with The GlenAllachie 12-year-old being named the World’s Best Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards 2025. Alongside our 2021 win for the 10-year-old Cask Strength Batch 4 single malt, this makes The GlenAllachie the only Scottish whisky brand to have claimed the title since 2017.
Our wider range also celebrated remarkable success:
- GlenAllachie 17-year-old Mizunara Virgin Oak & Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish – Gold Category Winner, World Whiskies Awards 2026
- The GlenAllachie 10-year-old Cask Strength – Gold, International Spirits Competition (ISC) 2025
- The GlenAllachie 15-year-old – Gold, World Whiskies Awards 2025
We were also awarded the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award 2025. We are incredibly proud of this achievement, as this is based entirely on the outstanding reviews and ratings shared by our visitors over the past 12 months.

The GlenAllachie was recognised in the IWSC Top 50 Spirits Producers for 2025 – a brand-new initiative celebrating distilleries and producers who have delivered consistently outstanding results over the past three years. We’re thrilled to be included in such exceptional global company.
Introducing the Sinteis Series
This year, we introduced our Sinteis Series (pronounced Sin-teesh), which has since become a highly sought after addition to our portfolio. Named after the Scottish Gaelic word for ‘synthesis’, the collection showcases the interaction between virgin oak and traditional sherry casks, balancing innovation with familiarity.
Part I (2014)
Matured in Pedro Ximénez Sherry puncheons and Chinquapin Virgin Oak from Missouri. It offers dark fruit, sweet spice, and chocolate at its cask strength of 57.8% ABV.
Part II (2015)
This edition is matured in Scottish Virgin Oak barrels and Oloroso Sherry casks, with flavours of dark chocolate, nutmeg, and citrus at its cask strength of 58.2% ABV. It recently won Gold Category Winner at The World Whiskies Awards 2026, highlighting its exceptional quality.
Spirit of Speyside
The Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival is a highlight for us every year and is always packed with unique events available only during its duration. This year, we enjoyed hosting a range of events, including:
- Behind the Scenes: We showcased the production area and warehouses, followed by a guided tour by our visitor centre team.
- Meet the Makers of GlenAllachie: Where guests explored the process of making GlenAllachie whisky, including mashing, fermentation, and distillation with our distillery team. This is followed by a tour of the warehouse.
- Art of Blending Masterclass with Billy Walker: A unique experience where you took on the role of Master Blender. Guided by Billy, our guests tasted a curated selection of whiskies and left with their very own personally curated bottle of blended whisky.

MVR Sustainability Milestone
A major highlight of 2025 was advancing our sustainability efforts with the installation of a pioneering Mechanical Vapour Recompression (MVR) system. Supported by the Scottish Industrial Energy Transformation Fund (SIETF), this technology captures and recycles waste heat from distillation, leading to more than a 50% reduction in energy consumption during wash distillation.
This first-of-its-kind system is expected to cut annual carbon emissions equivalent to the energy use of roughly 825 homes. We’re proud to be amongst the first distilleries in Scotland to install this technology as we march towards a greener future.

Market Visits
Our team had the pleasure of exploring a diverse range of markets across the globe, from tours in Singapore, Vietnam, and Canada to whisky festivals in Malmö, The Hague, London, and Glasgow. The GlenAllachie’s Master Distiller, Billy Walker, also embarked on a US tour alongside International Sales Manager Andrew Mustard and our importer, ImPex Beverages. We feel incredibly fortunate to engage with whisky enthusiasts worldwide, sharing stories about our whiskies, production, and guiding philosophy.
CELEBRATING LUNAR NEW YEAR
Following the rapid sell-out of our 2025 Year of the Snake bottling, we introduced a new limited-edition single malt celebrating the Year of the Fire Horse. This 13-year-old was expertly matured in a blend of Pedro Ximénez Sherry, Oloroso Sherry, and Virgin Oak casks.
While this bottling is exclusive to Asian markets, a limited number will be available for purchase in January through The GlenAllachie Distillers online shop and our Visitor Centre shop, aligning with the celebration.
We can’t wait to see what next year holds for us. Stay tuned for more exciting news and releases from The GlenAllachie in 2026. Sign up to our newsletter to be the first to know.
