A Year of Triumphs: The GlenAllachie Distillers Company in 2024

2024 has been a year of remarkable achievements for The GlenAllachie Distillers Company, marked by significant milestones and a renewed focus on crafting exceptional single malt Scotch whisky.

The year commenced with a revitalised brand identity unveiled in February, signalling a fresh chapter for the distillery. This rebrand aimed to better reflect the spirit of innovation and craftsmanship that defines The GlenAllachie. Discover more.

Significant releases

A series of highly anticipated whisky releases captivated enthusiasts throughout the year. The pinnacle of these was undoubtedly the introduction of The GlenAllachie 35-Year-Old, the oldest expression yet from the Speyside distillery. This exceptional single malt showcased the remarkable depth and complexity that comes with decades of maturation.

We also unveiled the 17-year-old Mizunara and Oloroso Cask Finish, a truly unique expression that showcased the artistry of cask selection and maturation. This innovative release demonstrated our commitment to pushing the boundaries of flavour and exploring new avenues in whisky creation.

In celebration of the Year of the Dragon, we delighted whisky enthusiasts with a special Lunar New Year 2025 release. This limited-edition bottling paid homage to the Year of the Dragon and offered a taste of the distillery’s creativity and attention to detail. The bottling is an 11-year-old Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso and Virgin Oak Cask Finish. It is exclusive to Asian markets; however, a limited amount will be available to purchase on The GlenAllachie Distillers online shop and our Visitor Centre shop the week of the Lunar New Year.

2024 also saw the launch of the first part of our highly anticipated Sherry Series. This collection showcased three exceptional 9-year-old expressions: the Oloroso Cask Finish, the Fino Cask Finish, and the Amontillado Cask Finish. Each expression in this series demonstrates the profound influence of Sherry Casks on the character of The GlenAllachie single malt.

Billy Walker’s Market Visits

Master Distiller Billy Walker, a true legend in the whisky industry, continued to be a driving force behind the distillery’s success. Throughout the year, Billy embarked on a series of global market visits, sharing his expertise and passion for whisky with enthusiasts worldwide.

Billy hosted captivating masterclasses and tastings in South Korea and Taiwan at the impressive GlenAllachie Pop-Up created by Metabev Korea in the Hyundai Centre in Seoul. This immersive experience gave whisky lovers a unique opportunity to engage with the brand and learn from the master himself. Our Taiwanese importer, Channg Ruey, hosted an impressive 200-person masterclass in Taiwan.

Billy’s global travels also took him to key markets such as Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Germany. These visits strengthened the distillery’s international presence and forged deeper connections with whisky enthusiasts worldwide.

2024 has been a year of significant growth and exploration for The GlenAllachie Distillers Company. We launched our first-ever e-commerce site and hosted multiple events, including press and exclusive events for our subscribers. We are immensely proud of our achievements and remain committed to crafting exceptional whiskies that captivate and delight whisky lovers worldwide.
