‘Sinteis’ (pronounced sin-teesh) meaning ‘synthesis’ in Scottish Gaelic, embodies our cask creativity as we merge two bold yet complementary wood types to concoct unparalleled expressions.
Combining single malt matured in Oloroso Sherry casks with spirit from French Limousin virgin oak barrels, this 2014 vintage unveils indulgent layers of dark chocolate and roasted coffee entwined with nutmeg and gentle oak warmth.
Limousin oak is a wide-grained, highly porous wood from the Limousin region of France, prized for its wide grain structure, which encourages greater interaction between spirit and wood.
We proudly present this Sinteis Series bottling at a cask strength of 57.4% ABV, natural colour and non-chill filtered, allowing the true character of the spirit to shine through.

Taste Profile
Nose: Orange zest, nutmeg and dried orchard fruits, with honeycomb, maraschino cherries, mocha and crystalised brown sugar.
Taste: Heather honey, spiced orange and baked apple, followed by winter truffle, muscovado sugar and cinnamon, with hazelnuts and mocha on the finish.
